Mercy Grace Medical Aesthetics was started out of Mercy Grace Private Practice to fill gaps that we had in caring for our patients when we were asked questions like, “what else can I do to lose weight?’, how can I get rid of this stubborn fat?”, “what do I do about these wrinkles?”, “what can I do about my acne?”
I started my weight management practice as an adjunct to my primary care practice in 2012 when I realized that when my patients would come in for their regular office visits where I would manage chronic medical issues and or new complaints, there wasn’t enough time to spend on evaluating their lifestyle in detail as well as educating them regarding foundational changes that needed to be made and why.
Since then, I have come to realize that wellness education plays an important role in the implementation of changes that are necessary for improved health. Addressing issues one on one with patients and partnering with them as they embark on their own wellness journey has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career as a physician.
Being able to branch out into aesthetics and provide adjunct services to clients with skin issues which affect their self-esteem and in turn, their wellbeing and wellness is the icing on the cake!
I am so excited about the journey ahead and I look forward to even bigger smiles and happier faces in our practice.
