About the practice
Mercy Grace Private Practice is a primary care and pediatric practice in Gilbert, caring for newborns, children, teenagers and adults in the same building, with the same records and the same care team.
That is the whole idea, and it is less common than it sounds. Most families end up with a pediatrician on one side of town, an adult practice on the other, two portals, two sets of paperwork, and nobody who has seen more than half the household.
Appointments that start close to on time.
Not a promise about a number of minutes, which no practice controls. A commitment about how we schedule: fewer slots, longer visits, and a front desk that will tell you honestly when we are running behind rather than leaving you to guess in the waiting room.
The same providers, visit after visit.
The value of a practice over a walk-in clinic is entirely in what someone remembers. A provider who has your child’s growth curve, or four of your blood pressure readings rather than one, is answering a different question from someone meeting you today.
Time for the thing you have been carrying.
Most people arrive with one reason and one question they have been meaning to ask for months. The second one is often the more important, and a visit that leaves no room for it has wasted the trip.
Honest referral.
We will tell you when something belongs somewhere else — a specialist, an urgent care, an emergency room, sometimes one closer to you than we are. Our page on where to go says so in detail, and a practice that is only ever recommending itself is not a practice to trust on the cases where it says come in.
Our care team is a pediatrician and four nurse practitioners. We state that on the team page as well, because it is worth knowing before you book.
Nurse practitioners diagnose, treat, prescribe and manage ongoing conditions, and in primary care they are the clinicians most patients see most of the time — here and at most practices. What matters more than the letters is whether the person across from you knows your history, which is a function of coming back to the same place.
→ Meet the care teamChildren, from the first newborn visit through adolescence — well-child visits, immunizations, sick visits, sports physicals, asthma, allergies, and the developmental questions that are hard to raise anywhere else.
Adults — annual physicals, blood pressure, diabetes and prediabetes, thyroid, cholesterol, and the ongoing conditions that need someone who remembers what has already been tried.
Mental health, which you can raise with your provider at any visit — for guidance, or a referral when a specialist is the right next step.
Saying this clearly saves people a journey, and none of it is a criticism of the places that do it.
